CONGRATULATIONS! Your new Tesoro Vaquero metal detector is part of a new series of detectors designed to provide you with many happy hours of enjoyment in the most.
The Cibola (pronounced see-bow-lah) combines H.O.T. circuitry with turn-on-and-go simplicity. It is designed for the treasure hunter that does not want to bother with too many controls. The Cibola is named after one of the fabled seven cities of gold that the conquistadors were searching after and will simplify the search for any treasures to be found. The Cibola’s main search mode is an ED 180 Silent Search discriminate. A threshold-based All Metal is accessed by the Push Button Pinpoint mode. The ease of use for the Cibola makes it the perfect detector for both the metal detecting novice as well as the treasure hunter that has been around for a while. Features: Glad I Chose this One ! Review by Dustin R on July 27, 2015 I've actually been running this detector on and off for a couple years now and I have to admit that it took me a long time to get real good with it but now...watch out! The only real reason I chose the Cibola over a Garrett Ace detector is because it has the higher frequency that is needed for hitting small nuggets. The smallest nugget I hit was a 2/10s gram nuggets in shallow water. Works great in parks also! Don't be afraid to turn the discrimination up and play with it because when it finds something worth digging it will still tell you. Had my best week ever just this past week. Found some good coinage and 7 RINGS! 1 was even worth something! Light detector and feels kind of chincy but man this thing has really held up to a lot of abuse, from harsh weather to long horse rides in my pack saddle. Great battery life too! At least 30 - 40 hours. Really happy with this purchase! Thanks Best All Terrain Metal Detector ! Review by Greg W on December 14, 2012 This unit here is Metal Detecting's best kept secret. Tesoro makes some of the best discrimination with their products and can recognize good targets right next to or beneath discriminated bad targets. I have had this unit for 3 years and have already amassed quite a collection. Sometimes it will have you digging depths that you DO NOT want to dig. But I love to have that raw power this machine offers to penetrate the ground further than most other metal detectors two or three times it's price. Easy to pinpoint a target just by X-ing and the unit weighs so light. I could swing this thing all day long without tiring. The lifetime warranty can not be beat either. Something no other manufacturer offers at the moment which should tell you the quality of the unit. Tesoro stands behind their product. Don't want to buy this unit? Fine with me lol. I don't mind walking behind you digging up all the goodies you have missed )
